kinský garden (zahrada kinských)

It is located on the steep southeast slope of the Petřín Hill over the area of 21.72 hectares. The garden was established by the Count Rudolf Kinský, who began to construct the magnificent garden with a small summer chateaux in 1828. The summer chateaux in the bottom section is, however, currently closed to the public. The garden is typical for numerous water elements. In 2003 a new children playground was commissioned in this locality. At present the garden has been undergoing a vast reconstruction. Garden roads and paths, public lights, and water elements are being regenerated on the slopes. In autumn last year the bottom section of the garden, the summer chateaux surroundings, was open following the reconstruction.
